Grace Notes: Answering When Called

Barcelona bound.

So, here’s the deal.

I got accepted into a month-long educational conference in Barcelona that only accepted 400 applicants from the whole world. Only the best creatives, innovators, educators, etc.

And I am one of them!

#gobsmacked #thrilled #honored

While there, we will be studying & working together, as well as doing our own individual creative research and work. As a participant, I will be a part of the beta-testing of Mindvalley Academy, a different kind of ‘world university’ that meets each summer in a different city. I am thrilled to have been chosen to be a small part of the initial stages of its incubation.

I set up a ‘Go Fund Me’ for this. I will add some free gifts to my writer’s Facebook page for anyone who wants a goodie in exchange for support. I’ve priced everything and now I just need to raise some funds in addition to what I can provide. Help out if you can via the link below:

What will this opportunity bring to me, my life, my work as a teacher, and writer?

I believe it will be an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet a diverse and gifted group of people who are doing work that will make the world a better place. It is a chance to rub shoulders with like-minded souls who – like me – are working to create art, innovations, businesses and products that will affect others in a positive way. For the past five years, I’ve written extensively about my spiritual life and practice, hoping to encourage, enliven, and enlighten my readers with that work. I’ve developed The Wonderland Files and my website and am now working on several book projects. This trip would allow me to explore a culture that’s always fascinated me, meet new people, investigate new ideas, and explore the cutting edge of education and creativity. It would allow me to write and reflect in a way that only travel can do; I haven’t traveled outside of the US since 1979.  It feels like it is time now to go see the world again.

“I am not the same, having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world.” – Mary Anne Radmacher

Only a small number of people were invited based upon their applications. I am honored to be one of them.

Help me embrace this beautiful, unique, incredible opportunity to teach, write, and learn in Barcelona this summer as a member of the inaugural class of Mindvalley U.  I am certain that I will make the most of this chance to dialogue with and learn from everyone I meet there.

“Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.” – Anonymous

I look forward to sending you postcards (via this blog) while I am there, sharing my experience with readers worldwide.

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” – Oliver Wendell Holmes

Send prayers and good thoughts and light. Help me make this dream a reality.
